Decks built through to the structure

Decks are designed for each specific site. Correct flashing at the house connection, the right bearer and joist sizing for the span, and decking installed to allow for movement and drainage. In Northland, timber selection is critical — the humidity, heat, and UV exposure here place real demands on outdoor structures. In Auckland, we design for the section and ensure the connection to the house is detailed correctly.

Retaining walls engineered for the load

Retaining walls need to be engineered for the actual loads they'll carry. In Auckland's hillier suburbs, this often means a building consent is required above certain heights. On Kerikeri's sections and lifestyle blocks, larger walls need to hold their ground over time. We'll advise you upfront on consent requirements in your region and manage the process from there.

Fence lines and boundary fencing

Larger Northland sections often mean longer fence runs — we set them out straight and match the style to your property. In Auckland, boundary fencing involves council rules around heights and setbacks, and often a conversation with neighbours. We've navigated that process many times and can make it straightforward.
